Our members include large and small companies that invest in, own, manage and develop all forms of property as well as providers of professional services to the industry.Position PurposeManage the co-ordination & delivery of the WA Division’s policy, advocacy, government relations and corporate communications activities, and advocacy events, within the framework of the Property Council’s commercial priorities and membership services.Make a major contribution to the design and delivery of the Division’s public affairs strategies and corporate communications strategies.Develop good working relationships with relevant media.Manage and enact policy & advocacy priorities in conjunction with members, for the WA Division of the Property Council.Lead the WA Division’s effective collaboration with the Property Council’s national office and other Divisions on shared policy and advocacy activities.Prepare submissions to state and local government.Provide high level advice on the Division’s business activities and budgets.Assist the Executive Director in providing executive support to the Division Management Committee and the Division Council.The ideal candidate will have:Excellent understanding of political and policy development processes.Strong understanding of and experience in policy development.Management experience in the public, private or not-for-profit sectors.Media and public speaking experience.Ability to work to tight deadlines and set timelines.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including interpersonal, negotiation and advocacy skills.Strong skills in strategic and creative problem solving.Demonstrated ability to work across teams.Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strategic networks.Demonstrated ability to lead and work in a small team environment.Tertiary education in planning, politics, public affairs or law.About you:Alongside a competitive remuneration and benefits package, we support ongoing professional development, fostering a culture of continual learning and improvement.Our offices are located in the CBD, close to public transport and we support flexible working arrangements, ensuring you have a work-life balance. Our wellbeing programs offer a range of lifestyle benefits, and our salary packaging options allow you to maximise your take home pay.
