Assistant Accountant

Image Resources is a growing mineral sands producer and is currently operating a highly successful mine and processing facility at its 100%-owned, high-grade, zircon-rich flagship Atlas mineral sands project, with a view to further expand operations through the development of multiple projects. The Role An exciting opportunity exists for an Assistant Accountant to join our West Perth team. Reporting to the Accountant, the Assistant Accountant is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of financial transactions, supporting month-end activities and assisting with payroll administration. You will be responsible for: Raise purchase requisitions and purchase orders in line with procedures. Process supplier invoices with accurate coding and correct approvals. Prepare and process EFT and online banking payments. Monitor outstanding invoices and respond to supplier queries. Perform monthly credit card, bank and balance sheet reconciliations. Maintain accurate financial records and audit documentation. Assist with journals, accruals, and supporting month-end schedules. Support the Accountant with monthly reporting tasks and data collation. Set up new suppliers and complete credit applications. Support data entry, document control and other finance-related tasks. Respond to internal and external enquiries professionally and promptly. About you To be successful in this role, you will have: Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or related discipline. Minimum 2 years’ experience in accounting, accounts payable or finance support. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Good understanding of accounting processes. Strong communication, time-management and organisational abilities. High levels of confidentiality, integrity and professionalism. A proactive approach to learning and continuous improvement.
