What does the job look like? Are you a skilled Heavy Diesel Mechanic looking for a change of pace? With a focus on servicing and maintenance, and major issues referred back to dealers for warranty work, you’ll enjoy a streamlined, low-pressure role working with a modern fleet. This role is based on the Afternoon shift, 3pm to 11pm, Monday to Friday. Key areas include: Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults in engines and parts Performing routine maintenance tasks on trucks and trailers, such as oil changes, lubrication, and engine tune-ups Testing and adjusting mechanical systems post-repair to verify proper operation and reliability Using diagnostic tools and computer systems to troubleshoot and test vehicle parts Conducting vehicle inspections and issuing roadworthy certificates or detailed reports Responding to breakdowns with on-site mechanical support when required Working on new or near-new trucks and trailers in a well-equipped workshop Are you the one?
