Principal Cloud Project Manager

Overview We are seeking our new Principal Cloud Project Manager (Managed Cloud) to join the Axway team. We are seeking an experienced senior candidate with a broadly developed background in cloud computing technologies and advanced advocacy and communication skills. The right persona for this customer-facing role will enhance and improve the Axway Managed Cloud onboarding journey while providing the level of competency necessary to manage a healthy portfolio of Axway Managed Cloud customers. Responsibilities Oversee global initiatives and deliverables aligned with Axway's strategic objectives for Managed Cloud. Manage application, infrastructure, and managed cloud projects with substantial prior experience. Engage with external and internal stakeholders to identify and address risks, define project scope, and drive projects toward successful completion in collaboration with teams such as Professional Services, Customer Success, Managed Services, Support, Product Management, and R&D. Establish Axway schedules, reporting, and status of results; manage risks, issues, dependencies, actions, budget tracking, and change requests; provide regular status reporting. Leverage established Axway PMO Governance methodologies for infrastructure and cloud projects. Understand Axway culture to drive programs and projects to successful outcomes. Service Tiers Customer Onboarding Customer Product Upgrades Regional and Global Programs Activities Include Establishes a well-understood business case and ensures all relevant use cases are included. Manages Axway schedules, reporting, and status of results; engages with Customers and Axway stakeholders to deliver project objectives. Manages risks, issues, dependencies, actions, budget tracking, and change requests; provides regular status reporting. Uses established Axway PMO Governance methodologies for infrastructure and cloud projects. Leads diverse, cross-functional teams across geographically distributed locations; applies problem solving, decision making, and analytical skills. Establishes project baselines and tracks compliance and deviations. Qualifications & Experience 10+ years of Project/Program Management experience within technology or other complex fields requiring agility in delivering strategic and tactical objectives. 8+ years leading project teams and delivering results. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize in a varied workload. Demonstrated problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze options and operate with minimal supervision. Ability to manage stakeholder expectations, understand needs, determine alternatives, and communicate effectively. Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to present complex ideas clearly to technical and non-technical audiences. Accountable team player with a constructive, transparent attitude; able to work effectively in a fast-paced, globally dispersed environment. Thrives under pressure amid organizational growth and change. Experience with systems integration, software deployment, infrastructure deployment, change management, and quality assurance. Builds transparency and visibility for effective communication planning. Education Master’s degree or equivalent in Business, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field. Project Management certifications or equivalent (PMP, ITIL, PRINCE2). Agile, ITIL, or Security certifications (CSM, PSM, SDLC, etc.). Experience with MS Office, MS Project, Jira and Confluence, ServiceNow. Key Skills Proactive, self-starter; takes initiative in the absence of instructions. Sound judgment and ability to seek guidance from leadership when needed. Ability to manage multiple projects and resources constraints in parallel. Results-oriented, highly organized, and capable of working under pressure. Active engagement and presence during the workday; strong follow-up and accountability. Foundational knowledge of AWS & Azure Cloud environments, ITIL Cloud Services, Jira/Confluence, ServiceNow, and Salesforce CRM.
