This role is central to the company's growth plan over the next five years and will suit someone who wants genuine influence, stability, and a clear career path. The position offers 1–2 days per week working from home and a highly competitive salary for the right person. Visa pathways are available for candidates with strong Estimating or Quantity Surveying backgrounds. About the Role You will take the lead on estimating across civil projects, preparing accurate costings, managing tender submissions, and working closely with the senior team. This is a key position with a direct line into future management opportunities as the business continues to scale. Key Responsibilities Prepare tenders and detailed cost estimates across a range of civil projects Complete quantity take-offs and review drawings, specifications, and scope documents Engage with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing Lead the tender process from initial review to submission Identify risks, opportunities, and value-engineering options Work closely with project and commercial teams for handovers Maintain and refine internal estimating systems and cost databases Support strategic pricing decisions and contribute to long-term pipeline planning What We're Looking For Strong background in civil estimating (essential) Experience within a Tier 2 or Tier 3 contractor Solid understanding of civil construction methodologies and market rates Ability to manage multiple tenders at once Clear communication and strong attention to detail Ability to step into a future management role as the business grows The business can offer sponsorship for candidates with proven Estimating or QS experience. Please note: candidates without relevant estimating experience will not be considered.
