Sales Development Representative Square Overview Since 2009, Square has enabled merchants to take payments and grow their businesses. With integrated, omnichannel solutions—online selling, inventory management, buy‑now‑pay‑later, appointment booking, loyalty, and staff hiring—Square empowers sellers to thrive across all touchpoints. Our mission is to help merchants access the full spectrum of financial services at the point of sale, delivering a seamless, data‑driven experience that unlocks new revenue streams. Role Square is looking for high‑energy, motivated professionals to join our Restaurant or Generalist team. As a Sales Development Representative (SDR), you will launch our Sales Development organization, qualify inbound leads, and promote the value of the Square ecosystem to prospective merchants. You will be the first line of contact, build product expertise, and pass qualified opportunities to Account Executives. Key Responsibilities Quickly respond to marketing‑driven leads. Qualify leads and schedule appointments for Account Executives with merchants. Learn to sell in a dynamic, innovative, fast‑paced environment. Manage a pipeline of prospects using daily activity and sales tools. Develop a comprehensive understanding of Square’s ecosystem and stay informed on new product releases. Facilitate small‑business merchant onboarding. Reflect a great first impression of Square by providing excellent service and timely follow‑up to inbound inquiries. Qualifications Desire to grow a career in sales. BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience. Personal leadership, authenticity, teamwork, energy, and curiosity. Enthusiasm for developing sales skills through cold calling. Comfort in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
