About the Role We’re currently recruiting for a full-time Pharmacy Assistant/Technician at our Slade Pharmacy located within Epworth Private Hospital in Geelong. Join our friendly and supportive team in this hybrid role, where you’ll perform both pharmacy assistant and technician responsibilities. Working Monday to Friday, you’ll assist patients and hospital staff at the front counter, manage stock and pharmacy operations, and support the dispensing of medications for hospital inpatients and outpatients. Previous dispensing experience in an Australian or New Zealand-based pharmacy is essential. Key Responsibilities Assist in the sale of S2 and S3 medicines with appropriate knowledge Provide customer service and assist with general patient or staff enquiries Replenish stock and manage inventory within the pharmacy and hospital Process orders and undertake general administrative or support tasks Liaise with hospital staff and contribute to daily pharmacy operations Dispense medications under supervision for hospital inpatients and outpatients Who Are We Looking For? Our ideal candidate will meet the following requirements: Key Requirements Prior dispensing experience in a pharmacy based in Australia or New Zealand (essential) Previous experience as a pharmacy assistant or technician (retail or hospital) Excellent customer service and communication skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy Familiarity with pharmacy procedures and medication supply Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment Professionalism, confidentiality, and sensitivity when addressing patient needs Permanent Australian working rights About the Hospital Epworth Geelong, part of the Epworth Healthcare network, is a growing private hospital with approximately 170 beds.
