ITS Operations Engineer

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Provide guidance and direction to sub-contractors and other teams to resolve and escalate system faults, conduct maintenance and restoration works.
Act as an escalation point and provide 24/7 1st and 2nd level support to our Traffic Control and Operations Centres – maintaining applications, client operation systems, desktop equipment, server equipment, specialised systems, and networked systems.
Provide 24/7 support to our Data Centre Infrastructure – troubleshooting and managing applications, server infrastructure, specialised systems, and networked systems.
Ensure ITS Systems are performing to their availability and reliability targets.
Provide 1st and 2nd level support to Electronic Tolling Collection Systems.
Support Electronic Tolling Collection Systems through the maintenance and administration of Roadside Tolling Systems and participate in closures.
Ensure operational integrity of all systems by conducting routine system backups, system recovery, and media recycling procedures.
Monitor and maintain specialised equipment including PABXs and Trunked radio, data network equipment, CCTV equipment, Traffic Flow Systems, PLCs, and Building Security System.
Qualifications and ExperienceThis role will suit someone with a curious mind and transferrable skills and experiences, including:
Experience in maintaining critical systems in electrical, electronic, or IT system support.
Experience in managing and maintaining critical systems infrastructure.
Degree qualification within an IT, Systems Engineering, or Electrical Engineering discipline.
Experience with Systems & Network Administration (including but not limited to Virtualization, Storage, Backups, Patching, Scripting, Firewalls, Switches).
Analytical and incisive mindset to spot issues and use ingenuity.
Organized, efficient, and decisive in prioritizing tasks.
Natural problem solver and effective communicator.
Must have a valid driver's license.
