Lead and build As Team Leader – Stormwater Engineering, you’ll play a pivotal role in building and shaping a high-performing team from the ground up. You’ll foster a collaborative, inclusive culture while mentoring engineers to deliver innovative solutions that enhance flood resilience, improve network capacity, and manage critical stormwater assets. Drive strategic projects and development outcomes This role oversees a diverse portfolio of projects, including complex flood investigations, capital works, and stormwater programs. You’ll also provide expert advice on development applications, ensuring the longevity of Council’s infrastructure and system capacity while balancing the demands of growth across the municipality. Your leadership will help embed sustainability principles and champion emerging technologies in every project. Shape the future We’re looking for a visionary leader with strong technical expertise and a passion for innovation. Skills and experience Registered Professional Engineer or on a pathway to registration with a minimum of a Washington Accord recognised accreditation that meets the requirement for registration. An experienced people leader who is able to develop and deliver against set objectives and budgets and maintain focus through all programs and projects. Excellent communicator with demonstrated ability to prepare succinct written reports. Highly developed professional with interpersonal skills, the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of internal and external management, staff, and the community. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in civil engineering is required. A strong collaborator who adds value to the organisation with proven ability to maintain relationships with other stakeholders. A strong leader with the ability to engage and lead staff in a positive direction, while setting, developing and promoting a proactive and positive culture.
