The role of an Account Manager This position is responsible for providing proactive account management support aligned with a key customer portfolio through the delivery of outstanding customer service and demonstrating an understanding of the customer's needs. The role is also expected to manage and action day-to-day customer fleet management requests and seek opportunities to maximise business renewal and organic growth. Responsibilities Proactively manage assigned customers to deliver professional fleet management services and maintain strong customer relationships demonstrating an understanding of client needs. Be the primary day-to-day contact and address or allocate and follow up the resolution of all customer requests including preparing quotations, managing future terminations and lease restructures consistent with best practice fleet management. Regularly review a customer's fleet through effective reporting and identify and address exceptions by managing key reports and opportunities to reduce costs through increased fleet optimisation. Capture all business potential of clients and maximise client renewal while maximising margins. Seek to upsell additional products and services and introduce initiatives to the client that will add value to the relationship. Support the preparation and presentation/delivery of customer strategic reviews and credit limits (in conjunction with the Relationship Manager/ National Manager Small Fleet) in line with SG Fleet standards. Ensure client contractual obligations and KPI's are met and exceeded, and measurements are available if requested. Build rapport and by understanding client needs seek opportunities for revenue growth including fee uplift. Where applicable introduce and maintain a "client strategy" document for each client. Support a structured client visitation program. Experience and Skills Experience in building and maintaining relationships at senior corporate level Ability to effectively manage relationships, deliver clear succinct messages supported by evidence High level of business acumen and commercial awareness Effective communicator both verbally and in writing, demonstrating good listening and probing skills Sound knowledge of the MS Office suite of applications, particularly with MS Excel Negotiate effectively with stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes Working knowledge and experience in fleet management products and services including asset funding Strong organisational and prioritisation skills - meets specified deadlines and reports regularly on progress Who We Are We are a financial services company that specialises in fleet management, vehicle leasing and salary packaging, with a presence across Australia, the UK and NZ.
