Role Summary As a Payroll Advisor, you will manage end‑to‑end payroll operations for the Royal Flying Doctor Service (Queensland Section), ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery across the organization. Make a real difference as part of the iconic RFDS team. Payroll Advisor – Responsibilities Payroll Processing Deliver end‑to‑end fortnightly payroll and maintain accurate employee data. Ensure all activities comply with RFDS policies, procedures, Awards and Enterprise Agreements. Provide timely, accurate payroll advice to employees and leaders. Support end‑of‑pay, month‑end and year‑end processes, including reconciliations. Reporting & Projects Produce regular and ad‑hoc reports, including WGEA submission support. Assist with annual remuneration increases. Compliance & Continuous Improvement Participate in internal payroll audits to ensure compliance and accuracy. Identify process improvement opportunities and support systems optimisation. Contribute to business planning, policy development and payroll process enhancement. Qualifications 1–3 years of experience in a similar role. Certificate‑level qualification. Ability to interpret organisational policies, procedures, industrial agreements and relevant legislation. Strong ability to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities. Demonstrated capability in report development. Experience with payroll systems and HRIS. Confident skills in Excel reporting. Strong communication, customer‑service and attention to detail. High level of accuracy in all tasks. Benefits 85K (full‑time equivalent) + superannuation. The Queensland Section provides excellence in primary health care and aeromedical services across the state, operating a 24‑hour emergency retrieval service that delivers top‑tier care to more than 330,000 Australians each year. In addition, the RFDS delivers essential primary and preventive health services, including telehealth, mental health, oral health and health promotion.
