About The Opportunity We are currently seeking a passionate Qualified Carer to join our Care team at our Moran Stockton home, Newcastle. Morning shifts: 06:30am to 13:30pm/14:30pm Afternoon shifts: 14:30pm to 21:30pm/22:00pm Night shifts: 22:30pm to 06:30am Reporting to the Care Manager you will provide quality care and companionship to residents living in our residential home to support their independence and improve their quality of life through activities. You will be supported and mentored to ensure you thrive in your role with us. You will work with a great team of dedicated people and your contribution will make a difference to our residents’ enjoyment of their life every day. Key Responsibilities Providing high quality essential care, personal assistance and companionship to our residents in accordance with the individual resident’s care plan. The Care Team also includes Registered Nurses, Lifestyle and Allied Health professionals. Interacting daily basis with our residents and their families and must spend the time to get to know each resident’s individual needs and preferences. Assisting residents on a daily basis, contributing to resident wellbeing, providing personal hygiene and grooming, nourishment, mobility and other. Skills/Requirements Certificate III in Individual Support or Certificate IV in Ageing Support. Commitment to providing a high standard of care and service. Good communication skills. Ability to work in a team and be supportive of your colleagues. Basic computer skills. Valid working visa. Current Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
