Excellent Growth-Focused Role for Big 4 Movers Sydney CBD - Hybrid working $110 / 115k + super + bonus Overview Bluefin is partnering with a large global organisation to appoint a Technical Business Analyst to support key operational technology and data initiatives. It will focus on assessing the current state of core applications, uplifting data governance, improving data flows, and shaping future support models across the enterprise. This is a permanent full-time role with hybrid working arrangements. Brisbane candidates only. No sponsorship or remote options. The Role You’ll work across a range of data-focused initiatives, supporting their core operational tracking application and broader enterprise data needs. This includes assessing the current state of systems, identifying opportunities to streamline or replace functionality, improving data connections, and contributing to business cases for future support models. You will also engage closely with contractors to ensure ongoing work requests and support activities are delivered effectively. Key Responsibilities Assess and document the current state of the core operational tracking application and identify opportunities to standardise and scale it enterprise-wide. Develop business cases, gather requirements, and facilitate workshops to support decision-making across data and system uplift initiatives. Contribute to the design and uplift of data governance, data workflows, and key integration points across operational systems. Support small improvement projects focused on data plumbing, connectivity, and enhancing data quality. Oversee contractor activities, including tracking work requests and ensuring timely resolution of site-raised tickets. Your Experience Minimum 5 years as a Business Analyst, with technical / data background, ideally within heavy industry sectors such as mining, energy, utilities etc. Candidates from large commercial settings with strong data BA experience are also welcome. Experience working closely with data analysts, developers, and OT / IT teams on data-driven or system uplift initiatives. Understanding of system integrations, data flows, and enterprise applications. Ability to work autonomously, bring new expertise to the team, and engage comfortably with stakeholders at all levels. Hands‑on experience preparing business cases, running workshops, documenting requirements, and supporting improvements across applications and data systems. Exposure to full stack development or technical environments is advantageous. Experience with SAP or HR data touchpoints is helpful but not essential.
