Position Summary The Steward assists the Chief Steward and Stewarding Supervisors on the daily operations of the department. The individual is responsible for maintaining an organized, clean and sanitized Food and Beverage back-of-house, Kitchens and Loading Dock. The Role Performs the daily tasks of the department including opening and closing shift duties. To collect, separate and recycle regularly waste from throughout the hotel including designated back of house lift landing areas and pantries. Responsible for making sure all plates, glasses,bowlsand silverware are perfectly cleaned between uses. Ensure the kitchen and storage areas arekept clean at all times. This includes cleaning industrial kitchen appliances, such as stoves, grills,freezersand ovensetc. Responsible fororganizing,cleaningandsanitizingthe back-of-house Food & Beverage area and providing all outlets and functions with clean operating equipment. Report anyissue or damages and breakdowns within working areas and the hotel to ensurea defect‑free facilities and service amenities provided. Talent Profile General Education Certificate / Diploma. Experiences in similar role at luxury hotels/resort. Working knowledge of chemical and cleaning machinery is of advantage. Good command of written and spoken English.
