Job Title Chef – The Chase Hotel, Forest Hill, VIC (Minus Pty Ltd) Salary: $76,600–$78,000 per annum (Full-time) Job Start: Immediate Company Overview The Chase Hotel is an entertainment venue established in 1995, located on Level 3 of the Forest Hill Chase Shopping Centre. Responsibilities Assist in the planning of menus and determining food quantities and costs Prepare, cook and plate food according to recipes or personal judgment and experience Monitor food quality and presentation Manage and train cooks and kitchen hands in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety Order and maintain inventory of food and kitchen supplies, ensuring it meets daily production needs Collaborate with management to develop new dishes and improve existing recipes Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure efficient food service Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the kitchen Oversee hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen Requirements Prior experience working in a fast‑paced environment Knowledge of food hygiene and OH&S standards Professional presentation and approach Passion for food Ability to work closely with management to ensure consistent high‑quality service Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and good communication skills Team player under pressure Availability to work days, nights and weekends; reliable transport required Innovative and organized Qualifications & Experience Skill Level 2: AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma, Diploma, or at least three years of relevant experience.
