Annualised salary: $74,000 - $110,000 per annum plus superannuation About Us Pakaflex Pty Ltd, trading as Pakaflex, is an innovative and rapidly growing flexible packaging manufacturing company based in Dandenong, South Victoria 3175. We have developed a strong and growing position within our market and are looking for individuals who want to grow with us. Responsibilities You will be working in a close-knit team and have responsibility for Print Quality on several machines. You must be a solid "team player" and be willing to contribute across various dynamic roles. We have various printing presses ranging from 8 colour chamber blade systems capable of high-quality process print to 4 colour presses specialising in timber wraps and industrial print. The Shift Printer is responsible for all aspects of the printing operations including the set-up, adjustment, and troubleshooting of the printing machines. This includes the setting of plates, colour & viscosity control of the inks to maintain quality, routinely conducting basic quality control tests. The Shift Printer is expected to be able to plan print changes to minimise downtime and scrap. They are required to interact with the Process Technicians and Process Assistants regarding issues related to the product being made and resolve these as soon as possible. The Shift Printer is expected to interact with the Print Co‑Ordinator and Shift Coordinator in regards to print department administration. They are also expected to assist in machine start‑ups and roll changing when other production issues in the process require. The Shift Printer is expected to be able to manage numerous presses on different lines and is expected to read and understand the schedule and to create and execute a plan, with the Print Co‑Ordinator to meet production requirements. The right candidate To be suitable for this Position you must have completed your Certificate III in Printing with at least two years of on-the-job training, or Certificate IV, or have at least three years of relevant experience in lieu of qualification. 5-10 years in wide flexographic printing and/or 2-5 years in in‑line flexographic printing is strongly preferred. We are seeking keen, dedicated, smart and experienced individuals who are interested in learning about our processes and developing new skills. Shift Work and Remuneration This is a full time position operating both day and night shifts.
