What you'll do As an Infrastructure and Growth Planner, you will helpshape the long-term growth and sustainability of our Shire. Reporting to theCoordinator Strategic Policy, you’ll work collaboratively across Council andwith external partners to deliver high-quality strategic planning andinfrastructure outcomes. In this role, you will: Develop,implement, and monitor Council’s development contributions programs,ensuring the timely delivery of community infrastructure Planand coordinate essential infrastructure to support growth and liveabilityacross the Shire Leadand contribute to major strategic and policy objectives, including reviewsof the strategic planning framework. Engageand consult with stakeholders from government agencies and developers tolocal communities, to achieve sustainable, balanced growth outcomes Provideexpert advice and reporting to inform decision-making and guide evidencebased planning. Your work will help ensure that our planning andinfrastructure programs deliver high-quality places that celebrate ourheritage, protect our environment and support a sustainable future. Comprehensiveworking knowledge of the NSW Environmental Planning and Assessment Act asit relates to development contributions and community infrastructureprovision, and demonstrated ability to prepare DevelopmentContributions plans and supporting documentation in accordance with allstatutory requirements and current best practice. Experiencein a similar role working within a multidisciplinary team of technicalprofessionals on a range of projects. Demonstratedproject management skills that facilitate the development, implementationand continual monitoring of strategic projects, programs and initiatives. Stronganalytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to criticallyanalyse issues and develop and implement appropriate solutions. Demonstratedwell developed written and verbal communication skills including theability to communicate with a range of stakeholders, both internal andexternal, and to negotiate outcomes and resolve conflict.
