About You We are seeking a dynamic host on a casual basis, working flexible hours across the week in our busy dining room. If you have a passion for customer service, people and for creating unforgettable experiences, all while having a blast, this is your moment to shine. As Host, you are the first point of connection between our guests and The Dry Dock experience. With a warm, composed, and professional presence, you will be responsible for managing the flow of service at the front door, setting the tone for every guest interaction. Your role is pivotal in creating a welcoming and seamless arrival experience while ensuring operational clarity across the venue. Key Responsibilities Welcome and Engagement – Greet all guests with warmth and professionalism, manage seating arrangements efficiently, and handle guest inquiries with grace, always aligning with our service standards and guest-first philosophy. Reservation Management – Oversee the booking system through SevenRooms , ensuring reservations, guest notes, and table allocations are accurate and optimised to support service flow. Service Communication – Act as the communication bridge between Front and Back of House, relaying booking insights, guest preferences, and any relevant updates to ensure seamless coordination and preparedness. Guest Experience Support – Resolve guest queries in person and over the phone with discretion and care, ensuring all touchpoints of interaction reflect the high standards of The Dry Dock. Operational Support – Assist the FOH team during service as needed, contributing to a smooth and well-supported floor environment. Flexibility, initiative, and collaboration are key. Qualifications Experience in customer service especially in a host role. Experience with SevenRooms a must. A good team spirit and can-do attitude. Background in premium restaurants preferred. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask. Good time management and ability to prioritise tasks. Why us?
