Position Full‑time Restaurant Manager – KOKUMAI Gateway, Sydney, NSW Job Summary We are Hero Sushi, a multi‑venue business with a strong presence in the Australian market for Japanese‑style restaurants. We are seeking to add further talent to our team at our KOKUMAI Gateway branch in Sydney’s North. Having operated successfully for years, we constantly strive to improve, aiming not only to satisfy but to delight our valued guests from the community. You will start with approximately a 2‑month training and brand assimilation period to ensure you understand our expectations and standards. Those who excel may be given the opportunity to oversee multiple locations and take on higher responsibilities, as we prefer to promote from within. Location L1‑07 Gateway, 1 Macquarie Place, Sydney, NSW 2000 Compensation & Hours Hourly rate: $32.00 (Weekdays) Saturday: 1.25× hourly rate Sunday: 1.5× hourly rate Public Holiday: 2.25× hourly rate Overtime: 1.5–2.25× hourly rate Super 12% Annual leave + sick leave included Expected working hours: 38–45 hours per week Key Responsibilities Lead and manage a team of 15–20 front‑of‑house staff Provide excellent customer service and manage reservations and waiting lists Oversee store opening, closing, and daily operations Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards Monitor attendance, punctuality, and coordinate staff scheduling Recruit, train, and mentor team members Manage stock control and inventory Communicate clearly and use basic computer skills Requirements Minimum 1 year of experience in a management or supervisory role within the hospitality industry Experience in kitchen operations (willing to learn further if required) Desirable Qualifications Diploma in Hospitality Management Hospitality Supervisor Apprenticeship Additional Information The role is full‑time and offers flexible hours.
