Tax Accountant (MUST BE BASED IN AUSTRALIA) Job Overview: We are looking for a detail-oriented Intermediate Tax Accountant to join our team. You’ll be responsible for tax compliance and advisory services, preparing and reviewing tax returns, supporting tax planning, and providing high-quality solutions to clients. Key Responsibilities Prepare and review individual, corporate, and trust tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax laws. Assist with tax provision calculations and financial reporting workpapers. Conduct tax research to support planning and advisory services. Prepare GST, PAYG, and other indirect tax filings. Work with clients to gather necessary documentation for filings and tax planning. Assist in implementing tax strategies and managing audits with the ATO. Stay up-to-date with tax legislation and ensure compliance. Skills & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Taxation, Finance, or related field. CA/CPA qualification or working towards it (preferred). 2-4 years of experience in tax compliance and advisory. Strong knowledge of Australian tax laws and regulations, including GST. Proficient in tax software (e.g., Xero, MYOB) and Microsoft Office. Excellent communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
