About the Role We're seeking a motivated Tax Accountant with 1–2 years of experience in public practice to join our growing team. In this role, you'll work closely with the business owner, assisting with accounting and taxation work across a range of clients. You'll start by supporting the preparation of returns and reports, and as you develop, you'll have the opportunity to progress into a client-facing role. Key Responsibilities Prepare basic individual tax returns and apply a solid understanding of individual tax fundamentals Prepare financial statements to trial balance stage Perform checks, reconciliations, and data reviews before handing over for final review and processing Accurately enter and reconcile data in accounting systems Extract, analyse, and interpret data to support financial reporting Apply sound knowledge of accounting principles Advanced Excel and Word experience – MYOB, AO/OE experience desirable Support the business owner in day-to-day accounting operations and project work About You You're detail-oriented and analytical, with a strong grasp of accounting fundamentals. You're someone who spots what's missing, enjoys solving problems, and takes pride in accurate, well-organised work. You also enjoy working collaboratively and thrive in a small, productive team. Skills & Experience Bachelor's Degree in Accounting 1–2 years' experience in a public accounting practice CPA or studying towards CPA desirable Strong understanding of accounting and taxation principles Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills Clear communicator with a proactive, learning mindset Why Join Us?
