Are you an experienced Tax Accountant looking for a flexible role in a welcoming, client-focused practice? We’re looking for someone confident in preparing tax returns, BAS/IAS, and general tax compliance to join our growing team. Tax Accountant / Tax Agent Flexible hours About the Role This is initially a casual/part-time position with hours that can grow over time. During tax season (July–October), the role becomes busier, with full-time hours. Outside of tax time, weekly hours are flexible to suit your lifestyle. Responsibilities Preparing individual, business & trust tax returns confidently and efficiently Preparing and lodging BAS, IAS and PAYG Meeting with clients in person and online to gather information and answer questions Ensuring compliance with ATO requirements Maintaining accurate workpapers and supporting documentation Assisting with general tax and accounting tasks where needed Qualifications Minimum 2 years’ experience in Australian tax (essential) Strong experience with BAS and tax returns Excellent communication and client service skills Solid attention to detail Ability to work independently and manage own workflow Experience with Xero is essential About Us We’re a small, busy, friendly practice that prides itself on supporting our clients properly — no rush jobs, no conveyor belt service.
