Film Lab Technician

We are looking for a capable individual with a strong interest in the technical side of analogue photography, film development and scanning to join our team. This is a contract position, working 5 days per week. In this role, you will be responsible for operating film scanning and processing equipment, as well as performing other tasks as part of the lab production team. This role is best suited to someone with existing technical knowledge and work experience in film processing, scanning, colour grading, prepress, fine art printing or a similar field. Requirements Excellent colour vision and the ability to differentiate subtle colour shifts and tones A keen eye for image quality and strong technical aptitude for learning and operating specialised equipment Knowledge of traditional film processing and darkroom techniques, film stocks and cameras Strong ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment Excellent attention to detail, especially in repetitive tasks Ability to meet deadlines with a positive attitude and sense of urgency Highly organised, reliable and punctual Self-motivated, eager to learn new skills, and able to adapt to changes Strong people skills; comfortable with customer interactions Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including assisting customers over the phone Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while operating equipment Recent references are essential Main Responsibilities Preparing film for processing Developing and scanning film Printing Customer support, front of house customer service, respond to inquiries regarding scanning services, capabilities, and turnaround times, advise on cameras and film stocks etc Assisting other team members Working towards set goals and KPIs Interviews will be conducted on an ongoing basis, so don’t hesitate to apply #J-18808-Ljbffr
