This position as an Electrical Project Engineer presents an exciting opportunity to oversee various electrical surface infrastructure projects on a mine site in Australia's Bowen Basin.About the Company:We're backing a leading global resources company renowned for its sustainability, innovation, and safety standards. As they expand operations in the Bowen Basin, they're seeking driven individuals to join their team. With a commitment to minimizing environmental impact, this company provides essential resources for global development.About the Role:As an Electrical Project Engineer, you'll play a vital role in the relocation of surface infrastructure assets. Reporting to the Project Manager, your responsibilities include overseeing the relocation of a high voltage power line and substation, as well as ensuring the electrification of a processing plant aligns with project timelines. From testing and commissioning to breakdown recovery, you'll manage all aspects of the assets to ensure operational efficiency and safety.Key Duties:Develop and execute high voltage switching programs, isolations, and permits.Maintain and test HV and LV switchgear, cabling, and transformers.Conduct protection relay secondary injection and testing.Diagnose faults and lead recovery efforts.Uphold safety standards and drive project success within budget constraints.Organising and controlling project elements including the ongoing reporting of project progressLiaising with external, suppliers and internal company stakeholdersFinding efficient and effective solutions for problems as they arise on a projectEducation, Skills & Experience:Background in heavy industry, electrical power lines, and processing plants.Academic qualifications in Electrical Engineering from a reputable institution.Strong interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills.Ability to foster a positive, high-performing work culture.Well-developed communication skills - both verbal and writtenHigh attention to detail and demonstrate problem-solving and analytical skills.Join a dynamic team dedicated to delivering quality work in a supportive environment.
