Claims Officer

We are looking for a Claims Officer to join our dynamic Property Claims team in Newcastle or Parramatta (Hybrid). The role involves delivering superior claims service, investigating, evaluating and negotiating a variety of cases, and managing the entire claims lifecycle from analysis to settlement. Location & Working Hours Location: Newcastle or Parramatta based Type: Permanent, full‑time, hybrid role Shift: 11am – 7pm The Opportunity You'll play a key part in delivering exceptional claims service, analysing policy coverage, and expertly managing the investigation, evaluation and negotiation of different cases. Resolve non‑compliant issues and escalate when necessary to maintain standards. Build strong client relationships, responding to requests promptly and professionally. Process property claims, determine coverage, and ensure accurate settlements. Set reserves, authorise payments, and efficiently manage claim resolutions. Identify and report suspicious claims, while maintaining clear communication with all stakeholders and adhering to confidentiality guidelines. About You A strong customer‑service background with passion for growth into an insurance professional. Excellent rapport‑building skills over the phone and ability to handle varying customer expectations. Highly empathetic, friendly yet professional approach to customer interactions. Self‑motivated with excellent organisational skills. Previous claims officer experience is highly advantageous.
