Recruitment Director - Part of a National Team Recruiting all things Data, Analytics and Tech We have been engaged by a great Australian brand to identify an experienced Senior Data Engineer to strengthen its enterprise data capability. Our client operates across multiple business units and systems, where high-quality data is critical to operational effectiveness, commercial decision-making and regulatory confidence. The purpose of this role is to design, build and maintain the data platforms that enable a single, trusted view of performance across the organisation. This is a hands‑on senior engineering role, suited to someone who enjoys building durable data foundations, working closely with business stakeholders and operating in environments where data reliability genuinely matters. Base pay range A$140,000.00/yr - A$160,000.00/yr The role The Senior Data Engineer will take ownership of core data platforms, with particular responsibility for the ongoing development of a centralised data warehouse and associated data pipelines. Working alongside operational, finance, technology and commercial teams, this role will focus on reducing manual data handling, improving data consistency and ensuring enterprise data is secure, well‑governed and scalable. The position also plays a key role in preparing the organisation for more advanced use of analytics, forecasting and artificial intelligence by ensuring data architecture and governance are fit for purpose. Key responsibilities Data engineering and platforms Design, build and operate a scalable, cloud-based data warehouse Develop automated, reliable data pipelines integrating data from enterprise applications, operational systems and third‑party sources Architecture, governance and standards Define and maintain consistent enterprise data models, definitions and documentation Establish data governance, privacy and security standards aligned with regulatory and organisational requirements Reduce dependence on manual reporting and spreadsheet‑driven processes Work closely with senior leaders and delivery teams across operations, finance, technology and commercial functions Support analysts and business users to confidently access and use enterprise data assets Deliver tailored data initiatives in response to evolving business or regulatory needs What will you bring?
