About the Role We are looking for a highly skilled senior data engineer with deep expertise in Snowflake and DBT to support key data initiatives within one of our strategic client environments. You will be responsible for building scalable, production-grade data pipelines and models, enabling better business intelligence and data governance. This hybrid role requires 3 days per week onsite in Melbourne, with a January 21st start. We welcome both permanent employees and contractors. Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and maintain scalable ELT pipelines using Snowflake and DBT Collaborate with data analysts, engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver robust data solutions Optimise data models and queries for performance and scalability Apply best practices in data quality, security, and governance Contribute to architectural decisions and mentor junior engineers Key Requirements Strong experience as a data engineer, with mandatory expertise in Snowflake and DBT Proficient in SQL, data modelling, and modern ELT/ETL methodologies Experience in agile environments and cross-functional collaboration Strong experience with Azure Clear communication and problem‑solving skills Why Join Maltem?
