Uniting Victoria and Tasmania – Ivanhoe VIC Permanent part time position 0.4 to 0.6 FTE negotiable Based at our Adult & Mother Baby Withdrawal Facility in Ivanhoe SCHADS Level 3 + increase your take home pay with salary packaging benefits Your new role As an AOD Support Worker, you will actively support clients to achieve their individual treatment plans including drug withdrawal, in conjunction with the Registered Nurse at Curran Place, a 16 bed Adult and Mother Baby Withdrawal facility. You will be required to work a full rotating roster, including night shifts. As a key member of the team, you will: Supervise and provide assistance with daily living activities Facilitate and encourage client participation in program activities Provide high quality engagement, assessment, treatment and support services to clients Demonstrate high level team behaviours, communication skills and outstanding conduct Benefits of working at Uniting Our work isn’t easy, but it matters. In addition to a salary equivalent to SCHADS Level 3 + superannuation , you can access the following: An extra 17.5% on top of your fortnightly pay when you take paid annual leave Ability to increase your take-home pay by accessing up to $15,900 in salary packaging benefits which can be used for living expenses such as rent, groceries, bills, clothing, and much more Up to 10 weeks paid parental leave 10% discount for eligible employees on the childcare subsidy gap fee when using a Uniting Early Learning Service Access training and development opportunities to help you grow Your skills and experience You will bring with you: A tertiary qualification in a health/welfare related discipline such as social work, psychology or health science A Certificate IV in AOD or completion of the AOD Core Competencies (or willingness to complete within first 24 months of employment) Previous experience working with people with AOD and/or Mental Health issues Knowledge of screening, assessment and community-based treatment for clients with AOD and mental health issues Experience in developing individual treatment plans, post withdrawal and discharge planning View the full position description here How to apply Click APPLY to submit your interest.
