About the role Reporting to the Environmental Superintendent on site, the Environment and Community Officer will help develop and implement responsible strategies to maintain and improve Tritton operations social and environmental performance with our community and stakeholders. This will particularly focus on our new open pit mining project as well as our existing operations and future projects and promote the brand of Aeris Resources Tritton Operations. Key responsibilities Maintain relationships with Key Community Stakeholders as well as maintaining the stakeholder register. Implement the Stakeholder Engagement Plan and any other community / social performance initiatives within our Community Engagement Strategy. Identify and support key community development programs in line with Aeris Resources principles, priorities and objectives. Monitor and collate data for the evaluation of the social performance of the operation. Provide input into and monitor community relations budget planning and actual expenditure. Promote understanding and awareness of cross-cultural issues and cultural heritage. Monitor and support delivery of the key stakeholder agreements on site. Be the first point of contact for key internal and external stakeholders. Coordinate community engagement activities e.g., Community Grants Program, Community Consultative Committee meetings. Coordinate stakeholder related meetings for the General Manager. Develop key communications material including newsletters, presentations and other associated information as the need arises. Support the implementation of recommendations from the SIA for the Constellation Project (i.e. workforce settlement campaign). Supervise and assist with environmental field sampling and monitoring (including but not limited to surface water, groundwater, air, erosion, heritage and rehabilitation) to very high-quality standard. Plan and prepare monitoring field work; land access, sample collection, operation of sampling & monitoring equipment, field analysis, sample logistics, monitoring record management, equipment maintenance and calibration. Plan and conduct scheduled weed & feral animal control programs and land management projects such as firebreak maintenance. About You Relevant qualifications within the environmental sciences realm or communications, desirable. Proven track record of leading and facilitating teams or working groups. Experience in mediation, negotiation and influencing. Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship building skills at all levels. Enthusiasm, commitment and self-direction. Applicants must have a current manual NSW Driver's Licence with an ability to competently drive manual 4WD vehicles. Ability to work remotely and alone and prioritise and schedule work.
