As the Senior Manager Commercialisation you will play a key role in shaping the future of research translation, guiding academics through the journey from invention to impact and building strong partnerships with industry and investors to bring breakthrough technologies to market. In this role you will: Lead the full commercialisation lifecycle from assessing inventions and identifying market potential to negotiating deals and supporting post‑commercialisation outcomes. Provide strategic guidance to researchers on intellectual property spin‑out formation and market readiness. Build and manage relationships with industry investors and internal stakeholders to support commercial pathways. Develop business cases and pitch strategies to secure investment and drive research translation. This 2‑year fixed‑term position is full‑time and will be located at the Callaghan Campus (Awabakal land). How will you inspire us You will have: Proven experience in commercialising deep‑tech innovations within a university environment with a strong understanding of IP governance and regulatory pathways. Exceptional stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills with the ability to guide and coach researchers through complex commercial processes. A strategic mindset and deep industry networks particularly in sectors such as medtech and climate technologies with a track record of securing investment and building successful ventures. The ability to manage competing priorities and expectations, bringing people on the journey with patience, clarity and confidence. What we offer The remuneration for this position is from $136,030 to $% superannuation and is commensurate with skills and experience.
