We are a brand experience company, helping businesses create memorable and impactful IRL brand activations. As Head of Operations , you will lead the Australian Warehouse and Operations team – owning the end-to-end delivery of brand experiences, while setting the bar for operational excellence and creative execution. You will be accountable for driving efficiencies, leading a high-performing team, and ensuring flawless execution across every project. This is a leadership role that blends commercial oversight with hands‑on production expertise , ensuring the department not only delivers but also evolves to meet the demands of a rapidly scaling business. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Act as the primary representative of the Operations team, connecting it to the wider business which includes Sales, Marketing and Admin along with the Executive Leadership Team (ELT). Lead, coach, and inspire the operations team, ensuring high performance, engagement, and professional growth. Be the escalation point for customised projects or team issues, providing calm, commercial guidance. Collaborate with Sales to set and review production KPIs, ensuring weekly performance targets are achieved in the balanced scorecard. Act as a role model for Woofys’ values Operational & Event Delivery Oversee the delivery of all brand activations across Australia, ensuring quality and brief is consistently achieved. Monitor project costs, including casual staffing/ rostering and ingredient expenses, and implement measures to minimise wastage. Drive seamless on‑the‑ground execution: resourcing, logistics, styling, and overall event quality. Uphold and instill the highest standards of production excellence, ensuring all projects are on time, on budget, and margin‑focused. Ensure sustainability and safe work practices are embedded into production processes. Own and optimise Project Management tools such as (Monday.com), Inventory software, Rostering software, etc. Own financial performance across Operations & Production, including supplier negotiations, the enforcement of margins and compliant staff rostering on all jobs. Manage and grow Woofys’ network of trusted suppliers and freelance partners, ensuring scalability and flexibility. Oversee custom fabrication, inventory management, equipment procurement, and maintenance of all Woofys assets and props. Excellence & Best Practice Establish and cascade best practice processes for production, project management, and quality control across the team. Empower team members to take ownership of departmental standards and checkpoints. Introduce new tools, systems, and ways of working to improve operational efficiency and creative delivery. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging the team to push boundaries and innovate. People & Culture Monitor team capacity and workload, ensuring resourcing and rostering is balanced and sustainable. Lead with empathy, supporting team members both professionally and personally, and removing barriers to success. Hold regular check‑ins, appraisals, and development sessions to drive retention and progression. Regular travel to Melbourne and Brisbane required to ensure team engagement. Encourage positive work‑life balance, supporting flexible approaches where possible. SKILLS & EXPERIENCE 10+ years’ experience leading event production or brand activations, with a proven track record delivering high‑quality, complex projects. People‑first leader , experienced in coaching, motivating, and developing high‑performing teams. Expert in live event and experiential production , able to manage multiple activations simultaneously with precision and calm under pressure. Highly organised and process‑driven , with exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to operational excellence. Commercially savvy , confident managing budgets, negotiating with suppliers, and making margin‑focused decisions. Advanced proficiency with project and workflow tools (Monday.com, Google Workspace, and related operational systems). Proactive problem‑solver , comfortable navigating ambiguity and resolving challenges quickly, thoughtfully, and without disruption. Strategic thinker , able to balance creative ambition with practical delivery, always looking for smarter, more efficient ways of working. Safety‑focused mindset , consistently upholding safe work practices, warehouse guidelines, and onsite safety standards—even under tight deadlines.
