Strategist | Creative Agency Sydney | Hybrid | Full-time We’re looking for a Brand & Creative Strategist to join our Sydney team. A role for someone ready to take ownership, stretch their strategic thinking, and help shape brands that define the drinks and FMCG landscape. You’ll be part planner, part innovator, part storyteller and equally excited by a sharp insight as you are by the creative idea it inspires. This is a midweight to senior position for a strategist that is confident in their craft, sharp in their thinking and eager to contribute meaningfully to creative work. You’ll work directly with the Strategy Director and Creative Director to shape brand positioning, naming and messaging frameworks that drive both clarity and inspiration. If you love decoding brands, distilling insights, and championing ideas that deliver best in class creative, this is the role for you. You’ll immerse yourself in audiences, culture, and category dynamics, connecting insight to creative opportunity, ensuring our work doesn’t just look distinctive, but builds long-term brand meaning and momentum. You’ll also flex your writing craft, turning complex problems and ideas into clear, inspiring narratives that bring strategy to life. What you’ll do Lead and support strategy on brand creation, refresh, and innovation projects, from research and positioning to creative articulation. Develop brand stories, tone-of-voice, and naming rationales that bring strategic ideas to life. Write and craft presentations, briefs, and narratives that communicate thinking clearly and persuasively. Translate insights into strong creative direction and collaborate closely with design to ensure ideas stay true to the strategy. Dive into audiences, trends, and category dynamics to uncover new angles for creativity and growth. Present confidently to clients — from early insight sharing to final strategic recommendations. Support new business and credentials development through case studies, creds writing, and strategic input. What we’re looking for 4+ years’ experience in brand, creative, or innovation roles, agency or client-side, with a passion for shaping brand direction. Excellent copywriting and storytelling skills — able to turn insights and strategy into language that moves people. A curious, analytical mind — you enjoy unpacking consumer behaviour, brand meaning, and cultural context. Experience in drinks and FMCG preferred, bonus points for packaging or innovation experience, and open to transferrable experience from adjacent categories. Confident working autonomously while collaborating across disciplines and geographies. Skilled in crafting decks, insights, and presentations that are as inspiring as they are clear. A natural communicator, articulate, empathetic, and great in a room of senior stakeholders. You’ll take ownership of projects with confidence, managing your time, leading presentations, and guiding creative development with clear rationale. Clients will seek out your perspective because you help them see their brand, category, or consumer in a new light. You’ll become known internally for writing that connects, from decks and briefs to brand stories and tone-of-voice frameworks.
