Job Title: Welder Company: Expoelle Pty Ltd Location: Ormeau QLD 4208 Salary: $76,000 - $80,000 per year + Superannuation Position: Permanent, Full-time (38 hours per week) Skills and Attributes Strong understanding of metalworking techniques, including the ability to interpret complex blueprints and technical drawings. Excellent manual dexterity, attention to detail, and ability to work precisely and efficiently. Strong commitment to safety, reliability, and quality in all aspects of work. Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team. Physical stamina and ability to work in a demanding environment. Responsibilities Fabricates and repairs metal products using various welding techniques. Interpreting drawings, specifications, and welding procedures to determine job requirements. Preparing materials by cutting, shaping, and fitting components prior to welding. Performing welding using methods like MIG, TIG, and arc welding. Operating and maintaining welding equipment, tools, and machinery safely and efficiently. Inspecting and testing completed welds to ensure they meet required standards and specifications. Aligning and clamping workpieces together before welding. Cleaning, polishing, and finishing welded surfaces. Repairing worn or damaged metal components through welding or fabrication. Qualifications AQF Certificate III (including at least two years of on-the-job training) AQF Certificate IV Experience At least 3 years of relevant experience Experience with various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, etc.) and familiarity with metal cutting and shaping equipment. Benefits Competitive hourly rate ranging from $76,000 - $80,000 per year + Superannuation. Full-time, permanent position. 38 hours per week from Monday to Friday with overtime opportunity, and additional benefits.
