Project Security Officer, Data Centre Security

Overview Project Security Officer, Data Centre Security role at Amazon Web Services (AWS). Site-based role responsible for assisting the project team to manage physical security in line with client security requirements and the project security plan. Responsibilities Serve as the AWS primary security liaison maintaining daily communication with Regional Security Manager, Data Centre Security Manager, client security representatives, certifying authorities and other relevant personnel. Provide comprehensive security oversight throughout the construction phase, ensuring delivery of fit-for-purpose and certifiable facilities through attendance at security assurance Hold and Witness Point inspections. Collation of security assurance reports to the AWS Security Assurance Team. Document and track security-related issues and incidents. Appropriate management, response and recording of any security issues or incidents occurring throughout the construction phase as per the Security Response Plan. Monitor and maintain compliance with project security requirements, proactively identifying potential security risks and implementing mitigation strategies throughout the construction phase. Ability to facilitate meetings with clients, resolve issues, and report on matters relating to security compliance. Bring high-level attention to detail, and a meticulous, process driven approach. This position requires the candidate to maintain relevant security clearances and accreditations as per project requirements. Experience in construction security oversight or related field is highly desirable. Qualifications Basic Qualifications 2+ years' experience working in a Physical Security Operations position. Demonstrated knowledge of Physical Security best practices which includes the application of Physical Security Systems, Investigation Techniques and Security Incident Management. Demonstrable experience managing Security Operations in complex environments. Preferred Qualifications Experience working in a high security environment. Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and can learn quickly. Driven to provide internal and external customers with responsive and unparalleled support and you are dedicated to meet and fulfill the customer’s expectations. Desire to step outside the box and take ownership of projects and domains not in your range of expertise.
