Distribution Centre Volunteer (Truck Driver/Offsider) Vinnies Wollongong Vinnies Distribution Centre The Vinnies Distribution Centre sorts, prepares and delivers donated goods into Vinnies shops. This role is vital to keeping our shops well stocked, operational to generate revenue for our broad range of services supporting the community. As a Distribution Centre Volunteer (Truck Driver/Offsider), you will play a central role in the operations of the Distribution Centre, making a significant and valuable contribution to the St Vincent de Paul Society NSW. The Volunteer Role Provide customers (Vinnies shops & donors) with excellent service Load and unload Vinnies and donor vehicles Assist the driver to empty donation bins Assist the driver with deliveries and pick‑up of donations Stock movement as required General manual handling The volunteers we are seeking will ideally Be physically fit, with manual stock handling experience Be a people person welcoming, encouraging and positive Be willing to work within the ethos of the St Vincent de Paul Society Be respectful of others and flexible in their attitude to work and the team Have good time management, presentation and organisational skills and use initiative to get the job done Be task orientated and efficient No experience needed as coaching and training is provided. We welcome those with previous experience in warehousing and logistics to share their experience with their fellow volunteers in the Distribution Centre.
