Distribution Centre Volunteer Sorting Vinnies Auburn Vinnies Distribution Centre The Vinnies Distribution Centre sorts, prepares, and delivers donated goods into Vinnies shops. This role is vital to keeping our shops well stocked and operational to generate revenue for our services supporting the community. As a Distribution Centre Volunteer, you will play a central role in the operations of the Distribution Centre, making a significant and valuable contribution to St Vincent de Paul Society NSW. The Volunteer Role This volunteer role will perform a variety of tasks including: Sorting clothes and goods according to brand and suitability for resale Preparing and packing stock for distribution into our shops Assisting with cleaning and keeping the distribution centre tidy while maintaining safe work practices Qualities we are seeking Be creative, fashion-oriented, and have an eye for detail Be a people person – welcoming, encouraging, and positive Be willing to work within the ethos of the St Vincent de Paul Society Be respectful of others and flexible in your attitude to work and the team Have good time management, presentation, and organisational skills and use initiative to get the job done Be task-oriented and efficient Have the physical ability to lift clothing bags and bulky items No experience needed as coaching and training is provided. We welcome those with previous experience in warehousing and logistics backgrounds to share their experience with fellow volunteers in the Distribution Centre.
