Production Operator

Job Overview Shift leading hand for capsulation and powder bottling production. The position is located at Bayswater. Responsibilities Perform specified quality checks on capsules and powder bottling machine outputs. Conduct work safely, demonstrating commitment to SDI values. Maintain high cleanliness and follow GI Cleaning Checklist. Manage plastic parts inventory for current and upcoming shifts. Ensure required materials are available for shift changes. Participate in toolbox and daily safety–quality whiteboard meetings. Complete all relevant paperwork for quality checks and raw material. Perform basic troubleshooting on capsules that fail quality checks. Maintain machine efficiency and daily production/quality records. Notify supervisor of any deviations. Lead the shift and support department production manager and other shift members. Qualifications Vocational/TAFE background. On‑the‑job training provided. Experience working in a manufacturing environment. Ability to read and write English. Excellent team‑working, organisational and time‑management skills. Good understanding of company organisation and structure, familiarity with relevant SDI policies and procedures, and knowledge of day‑to‑day operation and terminology. Passion and develop professional relationships with the team. Ability to learn troubleshooting, product changes and reconciliations. Work Location & Hours Shifts: 38 hours per week on a day or afternoon shift, requiring prior arrangement. #J-18808-Ljbffr
