The Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Older Peoples Community Mental Health Service is seeking an experienced and passionate Clinical Nurse Consultant to step into a pivotal leadership role within our Older Person’s Mental Health team. Where you’ll be working Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Community Mental Health Service What you’ll be doing As a Clinical Nurse Consultant, you will provide leadership, mentorship and supervision, to ensure the delivery of evidence-based, strengths focused, recovery orientated assessment and treatment within a multi-disciplinary team and carry a clinical caseload, appropriate to the needs of the service. People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply. Qualifications Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (APRHA) and a minimum of 5 years post registration experience in a mental health and/or aged care speciality. In addition, the applicant must have an approved post graduate tertiary qualification within the speciality of aged care and/or mental health drug and alcohol or such other qualifications or experience deemed appropriate. Hold a current NSW Driver’s licence. Demonstrated clinical expertise and leadership in management of older people with complex mental health issues and psychiatric disorders and associated behaviours. Demonstrated ability to initiate and lead evidence-based nursing clinical practice through the development and implementation of educational programs. Demonstrated advanced knowledge and skills in the use of computerised information systems. Additional Information Need more information?
