The Role CVC is seeking a dynamic individual with the passion and commitment to the development of differentiated learning across all Learning Areas. The successful applicant will ideally have effective leadership, organisational and interpersonal skills. In addition, applicants should ideally have high‑quality presentation skills and a proven track record of delivering effective professional learning for teachers and allied professionals. The successful applicant should have experience in exceptional, contemporary, evidence‑based standards of teaching that support secondary‑aged students with learning needs, both diagnosed and imputed. They will lead a team of educators, communicate effectively and support the school to develop a school‑wide culture that embodies inclusive practice. They will ideally have a passion for supporting the whole child to achieve their potential. Our Learning Support Coordinator will support staff to plan, deliver, monitor, assess and evaluate differentiated teaching and learning programs that meet the educational needs of students requiring intervention due to learning difficulty, disability or low literacy and numeracy progress. They consult, support and collaborate with staff, parents and outside agencies to build staff capacity and enable the school to become more inclusive of students with diverse learning needs. Ideally, we are looking for someone with extensive professional knowledge in disability resourcing applications and innovative support packages for students. The successful applicant will demonstrate an innate knowledge of data literacy and analysis, clearly showing their impact on classroom differentiation strategies. They should have prior knowledge of Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD) requirements and will also manage National Assessment Program – Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN) and Online Literacy and Numeracy Assessment (OLNA) processes and requirements and literacy and numeracy intervention strategies. The successful applicant will line‑manage the Education Assistant team as well as provide additional learning support across the school. Students with diagnosed and imputed disability and/or learning difficulties are provided targeted evidence‑based programs aimed at increasing age‑appropriate academic engagement, organisational skills, social thinking, peer relationships and self‑regulation. The successful applicant will ideally be an innovative leader who recognises and demonstrates the need for a growth mindset. They should have an openness and high capacity for learning and be able to demonstrate how their thinking has led to solutions and have well‑developed interpersonal skills. At CVC, the Program Coordinator – Learning Support leads our Learning Support team and works alongside other members of the Senior Leadership Team. Key Responsibilities Responsibility for Disability Resourcing applications and financial management of the Disability Resourcing System budget Case management of students with diagnosed conditions including diagnosis documentation, family liaison, individual education plans and teacher communication Supporting staff to plan, deliver, monitor, assess and evaluate inclusive, differentiated teaching and learning programs that meet the educational needs of students who require intervention within a mainstream setting Line manage and ensure Education Assistants maintain their capacity to support teachers appropriately based on student and classroom need using contemporary approaches and ongoing learning Ensure high‑quality resourcing is maintained for support of students and that resourcing is continually monitored and evaluated Achieve higher levels of literacy and numeracy progress through a plan for literacy and numeracy intervention of students in National Assessment Program – Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN) and Online Literacy and Numeracy Assessment (OLNA). The school currently has a successful MacqLit program, and the successful applicant will grow and maintain this in consultation with literacy specialist staff The successful applicant will ideally display exceptional strategic planning and operational management skills to support working in a shared, collaborative arrangement with staff. A proven ability to provide professional leadership, build the capacity of staff and promote inclusivity and positive educational outcomes for students is highly regarded. As part of the Senior Leadership Team, you would contribute strategically to whole‑school planning. A high level of interpersonal and communication skills is desired, to effectively liaise with school leaders, teachers, parents, students and a range of external stakeholders.
