Overview DevOps Engineer – CYOS Solutions (working on behalf of the Australian Electoral Commission – AEC) Estimated start date: Thursday, 03 July • Location: VIC (Melbourne) • Working arrangements: Hybrid (on‑site at an AEC office combined with remote work) Contract: Until 30 June with a 12‑month extension • Security clearance: Baseline • Rate: $80 – $110 per hour (incl. super) Responsibilities Work effectively with development and DevOps technical teams. Establish and maintain Azure DevOps pipelines, repositories, and artefacts. Ensure cloud platforms remain current, resilient, secure, and automated where possible. Investigate and resolve complex application operational issues in collaboration with other teams. Consistently meet deadlines and deliver high‑quality technical and design documentation. Assist with cloud‑first deployment pipeline development. Create and oversee processes that manage the delivery pipeline from development through to production. Orchestrate delivery pipelines across design, build, test, deploy, and run with project and operational teams. Implement continuous improvements, strategy, and best practices in the CI/CD environment. Perform additional duties or assume responsibility for functions as required. Qualifications & Skills Exposure to DevSecOps using Azure DevOps. Experience with major Cloud platforms – Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud. Hands‑on experience deploying and maintaining Azure resources (e.g., Azure App Service). Proven experience in a hybrid environment and moving from on‑premise to cloud platforms. Extensive experience building and maintaining complex Azure DevOps pipelines. Proficient in developing pipelines that deploy Infrastructure as Code (IaC). Strong knowledge of IaC with CI/CD (Azure DevOps / GitHub); experience with GIT and branching strategies. Ability to understand and convey industry terminology to technical and non‑technical stakeholders. Experience developing .NET Core and .NET Framework applications. Experience with Visio for technical documentation. Excellent communication and consultation skills across diverse stakeholders.
