Job Title DevOps Engineer at Leonardo.Ai Location Melbourne, Victoria, Australia Overview At Leonardo.Ai, we’re building a generative AI platform that empowers millions to bring their ideas to life. The role focuses on designing and maintaining the infrastructure and tooling that support Leonardo’s AI generation features, enterprise APIs, and mobile experiences. You will embed directly within product squads to deliver new features quickly and safely while leading core platform work that keeps our systems reliable, secure, and efficient. Responsibilities Build and scale infrastructure across AWS, GCP, GCore, and Cloudflare to support hybrid systems that power our AI workloads. Support GPU optimisation – scaling and tuning GPU infrastructure for AI model training and inference to improve speed, reliability, and efficiency. Improve CI/CD pipelines, collaborate with senior engineers to enhance pipelines, simplify deployments, and boost developer velocity. Strengthen observability through monitoring, alerting, and incident response to give teams clearer visibility and faster recovery. Contribute to integration projects with Canva engineers and the Platform team to align infrastructure systems and adopt shared tooling. Uphold DevOps best practices, maintain documentation, reusable standards, and workflows that keep systems stable and scalable. Participate in DevOps Guilds, deep dives, and innovation sessions exploring new tools and AI‑driven automation. Skills We Love Experience with AWS services (ECS, EC2, S3, IAM) and exposure to multi‑cloud environments like GCP, GCore, or Cloudflare. Proficiency using Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code tools to manage and automate infrastructure. Familiarity with building or maintaining CI/CD pipelines, ideally within a collaborative engineering environment. Strong understanding of Linux, containerisation, and cloud networking fundamentals. Clear and thoughtful communication, documentation, and knowledge sharing. Collaborative teammate who enjoys problem‑solving and helping others succeed. Curiosity, adaptability, and eagerness to explore new tools, technologies, and approaches. Bonus: Interest or experience with GPU infrastructure or AI‑driven automation.
