Community Visitor - Aged Services - Greek Speaker Southern Migrant And Refugee Centre – Dandenong VIC The Community visitor volunteer would need to minimise the social isolation experienced by an elderly resident through the provision of companionship and support on a regular basis. The volunteer will act as a link between the elderly person and his/her respective community. The focus of this program is to provide confidential one to one companionship and friendship to seniors who live in their own homes or in an aged care facility and either experience or are at risk of experiencing social isolation. As part of this role, you will visit an elderly person in their home once per week/fortnight for 1/2 hours. Commitment for this role is 12 months.
