We are crazy about mushrooms and love growing them. We operate a large indoor climate controlled, computerised growing facility based in Londonderry, close to Penrith. Our produce is supplied to all major Australian supermarket chains, as well as independent grocers and a range of food industry stakeholders. We are looking for a Casual Mechanical Fitter to join our team. As part of a growing business the role will need someone with experience and passion but also a willingness to learn and accept new challenges. About the role TRADE QUALIFICATION ESSENTIAL Casual position for a couple of months Early morning start, early afternoon finish $65 per hour Objective of the role Maintenance is an important part of a maintenance Fitter/Fabrication job skill set, Problem solving skills and machine designing equipment are routinely used on the farm in troubleshooting machinery and design. To contribute to the safe, efficient & effective operation of all Plant Equipment by performing all aspects of maintenance activities, ensuring all work is completed to the highest standard & strictly within OH&S requirements Safety To accept and abide by the Occupational Health & Safety and Environment Policies and Principles. Report any defective/unsafe tools or plant equipment. Ensure others are working Safely Hazard and Near Miss reporting Apply Good Housekeeping Rules to Workshop & Other Areas Always apply Good Housekeeping Practices before, during & after any activities. Ensure all tools & equipment are kept in good, clean & safe condition. Ensure all tools & equipment are returned to Workshop after use. Maintenance Undertake Preventative & Scheduled Maintenance Activities as defined by CMMS Respond to break down situations to repair to all plant equipment as requested. Fabrication and design equipment Improvements Liaise with Maintenace Manger about performance of equipment. Ensure any adjustments to any plant machinery are approved by Maintenace Manager, prior to implementation. Record any defects found during performance of work. Additional Functions Participate in Personal Performance Plan as defined by Assets Manager Commit to achieve agreed KPIs generated from Personal Performance PlanDevelop & maintain a good working relationship with team members. Correct & accurate completion of Work orders for accurate traceability. Qualifications/Experience: Tradesman Certificate Maintenance Fitter – 5 years Minimum . Fabrication sheet metal and welding experience. Understanding of Occupational Health and Safety and Environment Policies and Principles. Self-starter with ability to work autonomously or within a team. Be prepared to change task priorities to meet business needs. Good communication and comprehension Participate in open team discussion. Prepared to challenge others in a positive manner. Ability to change within a changing work environment.
