Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities:
Supporting the maintenance, overhaul, and modernisation of rail vehicles.
Providing expertise and trade staff support to resolve complex issues and failures.
Developing and implementing innovative strategies to optimise fleet performance.
Collaborating with stakeholders and ensuring compliance with standards and practices.
Conducting inspections, audits, and risk assessments to safe work practices.
Analysing performance data and implementing reliability-centered maintenance.

Qualifications and Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. Electrical Engineer – minimum 1 or more years of work experience in electrical engineering. All previous work experience is relevant, it is not required that you have rollingstock experience. Strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential. Bachelor’s degree must be either issued from an accredited Australian University or Queensland Rail accepted equivalent that is recognized/assessed by Engineers Australia, the national professional body for engineers in Australia. Due to the timeline of the requirements for this role, we will only be able to accept candidates with unrestricted eligibility to be employed within Australia.
