This role of Residential Manager works within the Mission in Action of HammondCare to lead, motivate and empower staff to deliver high quality and individualised care to the residents in a calm, supportive and safe environment. The role is accountable for operational oversight of all aspects of clinical care provision, direction, and financial performance of the Residential home. This particular HammondCare home – Southwood, is a dementia specific household cottage model, inclusive of eighty-three residents living across 6 cottages. One of the six cottages provides a Specialist Dementia Care Program (SDCP), which is a Commonwealth initiative supporting people with Tier 6 BPSD (Behavioural and Psychological Symptoms of Dementia) through a transitional care model. Southwood is one of five homes that make up our beautiful, historic Hammondville site. To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Have Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration Experience in aged care as a Residential Manager, with Dementia experience Experience overseeing the clinical care (with a Clinical Care Manager, SDCP Manager and inhouse Dementia Care Advisor); site finances, residential occupancy, and people management. Demonstrated ability to lead, manage, motivate, and develop a team. Commitment to engage and align with HammondCare’s Christian Mission, Motivation and Mission in Action Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills Strong initiative, analytical skills, and critical thinking skills Working knowledge of Residential Accreditation Standards is desirable What are the benefits of working with HammondCare?
