About the Opportunity The Open Space Planner role will lead the development and implementation of policies strategies and plans that guide the delivery of open space services across the municipality including the finalisation and implementation of the Mitchell Open Space Strategy. This position will ensure that the planning and provision of open space meet the needs of Mitchells current and future communities supporting sustainable growth and enhancing the overall liveability of the region. The role will also be responsible for building and maintaining strong effective partnerships with key stakeholders including internal departments government agencies and community organisations. Through these collaborations the Open Space Planner will facilitate the achievement of Councils strategic goals and priorities working to improve recreation and open space outcomes and contribute to the health and wellbeing of Mitchells communities. This role is a permanent opportunity with a Monthly ADO. Remuneration begins at $102.7K to $114.7K (Band 7) plus superannuation. About You We are looking for someone with experience and qualifications in open space planning environment planning landscape architecture or related fields. You will be a critical cog in the process of Precinct Structure Plans Development Plans and Statutory Planning referrals and advocating for and understanding the importance of open space will be front of mind. Working in a diverse environment comprising of greenfields sites through to established townships - and everything in between you will be flexible knowledgable self motivated and keen to make a difference to the lives of our ever growing community.
