NRAR is seeking to appoint a Specialist Manager Spatial & Data Analytics in an ongoing capacity. About You Provide specialist expertise, support and advice on the acquisition, application and interpretation of spatial information, hydro-geographic modelling and complex database analytics. The role also builds and leads a team responsible for the collection, analysis and production of high-quality spatial information and products and integrated data to support NRAR’s strategic, operational and tactical planning and operations. The role provides specialist technical input and expert advice to support regulatory risk identification, priority development, campaign design and delivery and to contribute to enforcement outcomes and champion improvements to water management. Key accountabilities Lead NRAR’s spatial and data analytics strategy, integrating satellite, spatial, and database insights to strengthen regulatory risk detection and compliance targeting. Deliver high-quality spatial and data products that inform strategic, operational, and field-based decision-making across NRAR. Provide expert technical advice, analysis, and peer review to support investigations, governance, and enforcement outcomes. Oversee a skilled, geographically dispersed team delivering accurate, reliable water and compliance data and analytics services. Collaborate across NRAR and partner agencies to develop innovative, integrated data solutions and advance enterprise-wide analytics capability. Represent NRAR in professional and inter-agency forums to promote best practice and enhance understanding of spatial and data analytics in compliance management. Knowledge & Experience Extensive experience in natural resources management Experience managing the production of high-quality GIS data package information and modelling and integrated database analytics to generate products and reports Understanding of the application of GIS and remote sensing data, image capture and processing and interpretation, and map production Degree qualifications and/or equivalent experience in geospatial information, modelling, GIS and/or map production and modelling products.
