About Us Charlani’s Café is a well-loved local café located in the Westmead Specialist Centre, serving the community since 2012. Our menu features fresh, high-quality dishes — from hearty breakfasts and wholesome sandwiches to signature coffee blends. The Opportunity We are seeking a qualified and passionate Cook to join our kitchen team. This role is key to maintaining our café’s reputation for high-quality food and friendly service. You will work closely with the Head Chef and management team to prepare and deliver delicious meals for our dine-in and takeaway customers. Key Responsibilities Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to café standards and recipes. Assist with menu planning, daily specials, and seasonal updates. Maintain high standards of food presentation, hygiene, and safety. Monitor stock levels and assist in ordering and inventory management. Support the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient service. Follow food safety procedures and comply with health regulations. Contribute to maintaining a positive, collaborative kitchen culture. Qualifications & Experience Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent). Minimum 2 years’ experience in a café, restaurant, or similar environment. Strong knowledge of kitchen operations and safe food handling. Passion for preparing quality food and contributing to menu innovation. Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen environment.
