Steamatic, a leader in the insurance industry specializing in water, fire, and mould damage claims, is hiring a Customer Support Officer (CSO). There is no set closing date for this role. Role Details Hours: 38 hrs. per week, between the office hours 8am - 5.30 PM, Monday to Friday Location: Epsom (opposite the Palm trees), Bendigo Key Responsibilities Manage a portfolio of home and contents property insurance claims Triaging new claims and completing initial make-safe assessments Liaise with claimants, repairers, insurers, loss adjusters, external claims administrators, contents assessors and third parties Coordinate with Operations teams to ensure assessment reports are accurate and complete Coordinating End-To- End Claims Prepare and submit clear written reports through insurer and client portals Process payments and maintain accurate claim documentation Enter and update claims information in online insurance portals Provide professional, timely communication to all stakeholders Monitor workloads and ensure KPI targets are achieved Work effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced environment with a supportive team What We’re Looking For Skills & Attributes Exceptional customer service skills Strong written and verbal communication abilities Friendly, professional, and confident phone manner Intermediate computer proficiency, including the use of databases, online portals, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Efficient multitasking, accurate data entry, and strong administrative skills Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment High level of empathy, attention to detail, and commitment to quality work Effective problem-solving skills and a proactive, solution-focused approach Experience in insurance, restoration, or a related industry (highly regarded but not essential) What’s on Offer Full training and ongoing support from experienced managers Friendly, supportive team environment with regular social events Stable, growing industry with long‑term job security Opportunities to develop your skills in insurance and claims administration A dynamic role with plenty of variety - no two days are the same Competitive pay negotiated based on experience, plus superannuation Full-time permanent position (38 hrs, Mon–Fri) with paid overtime available Leave entitlements in accordance with the Modern Award Career progression in a forward‑thinking company that values innovation and initiative You must be an Australian citizen or have unrestricted Australian working rights to apply for this role.
