Role Role: The applicant is required to provide instrumental instruction on piano. The successful applicant must be able to instruct and demonstrate the instrument at all levels from beginning to advanced levels in a range of styles, incorporating traditional and contemporary methods. The College requires all instrumental music staff to demonstrate a high level of competency in the instruction of instruments in groups. The position also involves rehearsal and direction of ensembles and concert nights as directed. The applicant must demonstrate effective attendance records for their students and strategies to engage with non-attendance. The applicant must demonstrate an ability to monitor student achievement and frequent communication to the Instrumental music Coordinator. Responsibilities Responsibilities The responsibilities of an Instrumental Music Instructor may include but is not limited to: Direct instruction of piano instruments to groups of students and individuals. Rehearse and contribute to ensemble programs. Contributing to the development, implementation, and evaluation of the Music curriculum area within the school. Undertaking other related and organisation duties as determined by the School Principal. Complying with the timetable and professional ethos of the school. Creating a positive environment conducive to learning for the allocated students in line with the school¿s well-being and pastoral care policies.
